美國佛州奧蘭多同志夜店槍擊屠殺案震驚全球，擬於這個月底舉行同性戀大遊行的英國，跟著拉警報，英國同志團體呼籲政府加強保安工作，嚴防類似奧蘭多的仇恨殺戮行徑擴大。
倫敦將在6月25日舉行一年一度的同志大遊行，這項遊行是倫敦夏天盛事。奧蘭多同志夜店傳出大屠殺後，倡導英國男女同志、雙性戀者和跨性別者（LGBT）平權的組織史通威爾（Stonewell）發表聲明，期望全球同性戀團體此刻團結一致，並強烈呼籲政府相關機構以奧蘭多屠殺事件為鑑，提供LGBT族群更多的安全保障，防範類似仇恨行徑擴散。
英國知名同性戀平權活動者撒切爾（ Peter Tatchell）則指出，同志、猶太人和在西方的自由派穆斯林，一直是穆斯林極端組織和激進分子攻擊的目標。奧蘭多大屠殺顯示，英國和其他西方國家的同志組織、同性戀聚會場所，應受到雙倍以上的保安措施。
性取向、種族和宗教信仰的仇恨犯罪事件在英國呈現快速上升趨勢，英國內政部調查顯示，2015年高達1/4的英國民眾表示親眼目睹過與此相關的仇恨犯罪，包括暴力和敵意行為在內。
2013年簽署同意英國同性婚姻合法化的伊莉莎白二世女王，在奧蘭多屠殺槍擊事件發生後，特別致函美國總統歐巴馬，表達對歐巴馬總統和美國人民的支持。
此外，總統府發言人黃重諺13日指出，蔡英文總統除譴責恐怖攻擊外，也請國安會祕書長吳釗燮向美國在台協會處長梅健華致上關切，並向美方轉達總統對死傷者家人的哀悼與慰問之意。
去年法國巴黎發生重大恐怖攻擊事件時，蔡英文就曾在臉書中發表對恐攻的看法，她譴責這種暴力行為，並說「任何傷害人類生命、自由的脅迫、暴力、恐怖攻擊，都不是文明社會所能允許，也沒有任何理由存在這世界上。」
